Test pits locate pockets of deeper soil. On slopes, trenches follow the contour. Where soil is too thin everywhere, advanced treatment may allow a smaller field.
Access
Steep, narrow or dirt drives can limit trucks. A poly tank set with smaller equipment is sometimes the practical choice.
