Risers

Risers extend the tank openings up to ground level, capped with secure lids. No more digging up the yard to pump or inspect the tank.

  • Faster, cheaper pumping
  • Easy filter cleaning
  • You always know where the tank is

Effluent filters

A filter in the tank outlet catches small solids before they reach the drain field. It's one of the cheapest ways to protect the most expensive part of the system.

Best time to add them

When the tank is uncovered for pumping or repair. In high-groundwater areas, risers are sealed watertight to keep groundwater out.

Safety

Lids must be secured and undamaged. Never enter a septic tank.

Common questions

Can risers go on my old tank?

Usually, if the tank is in good shape.

How often should the filter be cleaned?

Often at each pumping, or when drains slow.

Do risers let in groundwater?

Not when sealed properly.
